Notice of Proposed Procurement

BELTS, DUTY, LEATHER, BLACK 
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has a requirement for a firm quantity of 2,325 belts, duty, leather, black.

In addition there is a requirement for 2 option periods, Option 1 is for up to 500 belts, duty, leather, black, the period for placing an order is within 12 months of contract award date. Option 2 is for up to 500 belts, duty, leather, black the period for placing an order is within 24 months of contract award date.

In addition there is a requirement “as and when requested” for Specials (made-to measure), the period for placing an order is within 36 months from contract award date.  

There is also a requirement for “as and when requested” for 225 Flexible Stock,  the period for placing an order is within 36 months from contract award.  

The requirement is to be supplied in accordance with RCMP Specifications G.S. 1045-259A dated 2013-08-15 and viewing samples. This can be found attached to the RFP.

The firm quantity is requested to be delivered to Ottawa, Ontario 45 calendar days following the approval of the pre-production sample. 
This requirement is conditionally limited to Canadian goods.

This requirement is subject to AIT, but is exempt from NAFTA, and WTO-AGP, FSC 84.
A contract will be awarded to the bidder with the lowest priced, technically compliant proposal. The evaluation of price will be established using the firm, optional periods, specials and flexible stock quantities.

The Crown reserves the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
