Advance Contract Award Notice – 15-22025  

An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier. 

The National Research Council Canada has a requirement for the repair and maintenance of our Siemens SGT-100 Industrial Gas Turbine.  Siemens is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and the only vendor that can offer a turnkey service agreement to cover all aspects of the control system, core engine assembly, combustion air
inlet volute flange and the exhaust diffuser outlet flange.
Other considerations for the sole source contract:
-	Siemens technicians are OEM certified.
-	Genuine OEM parts. 
-	24/7 helpdesk with expert support
-	Spare part kits for scheduled maintenance
-	Access to drawings, designs, software records and product improvements.
-	Online Remote Monitoring 
-	 Ability to connect ‘live’ to control system

The purpose of this ACAN is to advertise to the supplier community that the NRC intends to issue a service contract for the repair and maintenance/ services of the proposed vendor. This posting will serve for the immediate requirement up to 3 years after the closing date of the ACAN.

NRC intends to enter into negotiations with Siemens Canada Ltd.
Supply Period: 3 year firm contract
Cost Estimate of the Proposed Contract: $1.6 Million

Supplier’s Right to Submit a Statement of Capabilities: Suppliers who consider themselves fully qualified and available to provide the services described in the ACAN may submit a statement of capabilities in writing to the contact person identified in this notice on or before the closing date of this notice.  The statement of capabilities must clearly demonstrate how the supplier meets the advertised requirements.
