Request for Proposal (RFP) – Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Services
BACKGROUND
The Department of National Defence (DND) Canadian Forces Support Unit (Ottawa) (CFSU (O)) Supply Assistance Group (SAG) / Clothing Stores has a requirement for a Contractor to provide ongoing laundry and dry-cleaning services for various items.
REQUIREMENT
The period of the Contract is from date of Contract Award to three (3) years later with two (2) option periods, if required.
Tasks and Deliverables are detailed in Annex “A” of the Request for Proposal.
Mandatory Criteria include the following:
ITEM and CRITERIA
MT1
The bidder must clearly demonstrate it possesses a valid business licence for providing dry-cleaning and laundry services.
MT2
The bidder must clearly demonstrate it has the capacity to conduct a viable *dry-cleaning process.
* If using Tetrachloroethylene (PERC) as a cleaning agent, by submitting a bid, the bidder certifies that it follows and complies with the Environment Canada Tetrachloroethylene (Use in Dry Cleaning and Reporting Requirements) Regulations

MT3
The Bidder must clearly demonstrate that it is has experience providing dry-cleaning and laundry services to large, professional organizations, such as but not limited to, hotels, restaurants or hospitals for three (3) consecutive years in the past ten (10) years.
MT4
The Bidder must clearly demonstrate it uses phosphate free, environmentally friendly laundering product(s) / detergent(s) for the (wet wash) laundering process.
The Mandatory Criteria are detailed in the Request for Proposal (RFP).
Where this notice and the RFP differ, the RFP will prevail.
The Department of National Defence reserves the right not to award a Contract, regardless of the responses it receives.
