Description:
There is a requirement to replace the flooring surface in the Physical Training building TBU50 at Depot. Due to extensive use of the facility, the current hardwood flooring requires annual re-finishing, which is labor intensive and does not wear well given the volume of traffic. The floor is currently in useable condition but is currently in need of refinishing. A more sustainable product with a lower maintenance component has been investigated and is recommended to re-surface the floor surface. In addition to the flooring surface upgrade, ancillary training infrastructure and equipment will be included that will increase and enhance the usability and functionality of the gym. The planned renovations include: Demolish and remove existing hardwood gym floor. Demolish and remove existing sport flooring area from southeast corner. Demolish and remove existing steel baseboard HVAC units at perimeter. Complete repairs to support the new floor socket locations which includes concrete repairs, sub floor infill, and vapor barrier tie-in. Demolish and remove existing telescopic bleachers. Install new polyurethane flooring system throughout, including the installation of new court and training line markings, new basketball center court logo, and new vinyl- applied graphics at circuit training locations. Also to be installed are interlocking turf panels, 100mm high coved rubber baseboards, floor thresholds and transitions at doors and turf panels, supply and install new baseboard grilles for HVAC, and supply and install the following infrastructure and training equipment: Post Sockets, Mobile bleacher, Wall/floor mount rigs, and mobile stair trainer.
