RCMP has a requirement to renew their Police Records Management System (PROS) with the company Niche Technology Inc. PROS offers a common platform for providing or sharing information in real time among users collaborating on policing files. In this regard, the system facilitates requests for personal information, in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act, relevant to a criminal investigation about an identifiable individual including the name, address, age and any identifying number assigned to the individual (such as driver's license) and criminal record.
