    Description
Alberta Parks is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified contractors for the control of invasive terrestrial plants throughout the Kananaskis Region as outlined in Appendix ‘E’ Service Area Map. Alberta Parks manages over 4,000 square kilometres of land in the foothills and Rocky Mountains of south-western Alberta and is the major stakeholder in the area. The majority of control activities will take place within Alberta Parks and Protected Areas. The proponent will use information and maps supplied by the Kananaskis Improvement District weed inspector and the Contract Manager to locate and control invasive weeds throughout the region. The proponent will utilize current best management practices for vegetation control including mechanical, chemical and manual methods of weed control. Due to the amount of public visitation to the affected areas, weed control work will be conducted Monday to Thursday unless prior permission is sought and approved in writing by the Contract Manager.

    Contract duration

The estimated contract period will be 31 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/08/14.
