Description
The City of Fort Saskatchewan (the City) invites proposals for the provision of professional services according to the specifications and conditions set out in this Request for Proposal (RFP), to provide a comprehensive community social response framework with the intent to negotiate and enter into a Contract with the City for the Services.
Fort Saskatchewan strives to be a safe, welcoming and connected community. In order to best support its citizens, we must first work towards a deeper understanding of their needs, as well as the current services that are provided by our public, private and non-profit sectors. Wellness encompasses a myriad of factors in many facets of everyday life. The more opportunity provided in which to engage in such factors, such as recreation, access to needed social services and supports and affordable housing, the greater the ability to participate in healthy choices that promote health and wellbeing.
The purpose of this RFP is to select a skilled and qualified proponent with direct experience and knowledge in the field of social research (i.e. data collection, analysis, collaboration, facilitation), development of guiding frameworks and human services. The Successful Proponent will identify current and potential stakeholders, as well any gaps or duplication of services and supports, creating a strong framework in which to build off in support of this community.
The successful proponent will develop a Social Response Framework for the City of Fort Saskatchewan. This will outline short, mid and long term goals that support social wellness. These goals will identify prevention measures as well as early intervention strategies. The plan will include opportunities to partner with other levels of government and highlight the responsibilities of each. In addition, the plan will highlight risks associated with both implementing and not implementing the recommendations.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 12 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/03/16.
