    Description
    Are you a Contractor interested in working with Alberta Forestry and Parks (FP) Wildfire Compliance and Investigation Unit for the 2024-2026 wildfire seasons? Agreements for FI-310 Wildfire Investigation Services are now available for the upcoming wildfire seasons. The following will provide you with general information on the terms, conditions, and requirements of Departmental Contracts. The Forestry Division, which is responsible for the investigation of wildfires within the Forest Protection Area (FPA) of Alberta, requires experienced wildfire investigators to conduct wildfire investigations as part of an investigation team, assist in the investigation of major wildfires, assist in providing or developing wildfire investigation-related training, and assist in field research projects. Contracted investigators should possess significant training and experience in wildfire origin and cause determination, as well as investigation skills such as interviewing and evidence collection. There is no guarantee of work under the terms of the FI-310 Wildfire Investigations Services Contract. Contractors will be hired on an as-needed basis, based on the specific requirements of an investigation. The Contractor shall provide experienced staff, fully equipped with all necessary equipment and supplies. They may be required to travel throughout the province on short notice. Any staff provided by the Contractor shall have a certificate of completion for the FI-310 Wildfire Investigation Case Development Course. In addition to the required certification, the Contractor’s staff must have at least five (5) years experience in wildfire investigation.

    The estimated contract period will be 36 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/04/01.
