Description
AER is seeking a vendor to provide an up-to-date assessment of petroleum reserves and contingent resources in the Province of Alberta using industry-accepted methods for conventional and unconventional (low-permeability) categories of resource plays. The goal of the project is to provide an up-to-date assessment of petroleum reserves and contingent resources in the Province of Alberta using industry-accepted methods for conventional and unconventional (low-permeability) categories of resource plays. The undertaking is a significant effort that will require a combination of datasets from a variety of sources not limited to the Government of Alberta, Alberta Energy Regulator, and various securities commissions. Analysis will require teams of geoscientists, engineers, and financial advisors/economists although certain financial aspects of reserves (e.g., discounted values) that are customary for an operator’s reserves report will be adapted to meet the government/regulator’s focus on volumes.

The estimated contract period will be 24 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/07/15.
