Description
The Town of Stony Plain invites Pre-qualification submissions from interested General Contractors for the future construction of the proposed Stony Plain Community Recreation Centre. The Pre-qualification is the first of a two-stage selection process. This stage involves the selection of up to a maximum of six (6) General Contractors that meet the requirements of the Pre-qualification who will then be invited to submit tenders for the construction of the project. This project consists of the construction of a single community recreation facility that will contain the following: • 6-sheet curling rink with all amenities (i.e. Change room and lounge) • dryland fieldhouse with supporting change rooms and amenities • facility administration suite • community spaces • geothermal heating system • supporting site development for parking and connection to existing municipal infrastructure • various sustainable net Zero ready design systems Note: This procurement is subject to Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and Chapter 19 of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

The estimated contract period will be 17 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/08/01.
