Green Acres Foundation - Invitation to Bid - Black Rock Terrace Stucco Resurface

Black Rock Terrace was originally constructed in 2008. The exterior of the building was clad in a traditional exterior insulation finish system (EIFS). The exterior has performed well with the exception of woodpecker damage since it was first installed. Numerous attempts have been made to patch and repair the system; however, a permanent solution to deter woodpecker damage has not been successful. Green Acres Foundation has therefore issued this invitation to tender for application of a woodpecker resistant surface over the existing finished product in order to deter woodpecker activity. Work on this project will include safe passage to the building during construction, erection of scaffolding or use of equipment in order to perform the work, cleaning of the exterior of the existing building, patching of the areas of damage, installation of the woodpecker resistant coating along with final finish coat material. The owner has selected GRAPHEX coat as the product of choice for this project (see the attached product specification). The owner is open to approved equals should the contractor have experience with a product other than this. Work is to be completed during the summer of 2024. The contractor shall submit a proposed work schedule for review by the owner.
