    Description
    The design of a new K-12 School is for the benefit of the students and community of Little Buffalo, Alberta. The new Lubicon Lake Band K-12 School will be funded by Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), owned by Lubicon Lake Band #453, and operated by the Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council Education Authority (KTCEA). The school has a 10-year projected enrollment for grades 1-12 of 353 students, 62 K4/K5 students, including 92 special needs students. The proposed school has a total gross floor area of 6378 m² and includes a large gathering area, learning commons, classrooms, CTS spaces, gymnasium and auxiliary gymnasium, fitness space, and commercial kitchen. No modulars are incorporated in the design. Site works will include development of the site as indicated, including running track, ball field, roadways, parking lot, landscaping, outdoor structures, and play surfaces. The delivery method will be Design-Bid-Build (DBB).

    Contract duration

    The estimated contract period will be 23 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/08/01.
