Technology and Innovation - Negotiated Request for Proposal - GoA Employee Benefit Plans Adjudication and Administration Services

The Province wishes to solicit Proposals for the provision of Claims Adjudication and LTDI Adjudication, and general administration of the Plans. Benefits available under the Plans are: prescription drug insurance coverage, extended medical insurance coverage, dental insurance coverage, health spending account, flexible spending account, life insurance and long-term disability income benefits to over 27,000 Employees. The Plans are divided between Bargaining Unit and Management, Opted Out & Excluded. Depending on the Plan, the Province or the Trustees, are responsible for maintaining, administering, and interpreting the Plans. Administration of the Plans is contracted to a third party service provider. The Plans are self-insured, with the exception of the Group Life Insurance Plan, which is primarily insured under a Refund Accounting underwriting basis. The administrative services sought under this NRFP are exclusive of the plans’ funding models, the latter of which does not form part of this NRFP.
