County of St. Paul No. 19 - Request for Proposal - TOWN OF ELK POINT RFP for Auditing Services

The TOWN OF ELK POINT is soliciting the services of qualified firms of certified public accountants with experience and interest to audit all funds of the Town. These comprehensive annual audits are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards for municipal government recommended by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. The successful firm will also act as a consultant, providing expertise when required throughout the years. Key Elements of work to be performed: 1. Interim audit and testing. 2. Prepare year end adjusting entries. 3. Prepare, produce and complete financial statements at conclusion of audit. 4. File final financial reports with proper authorities by required dates. 5. Provide consulting advice with regards to Tangible Capital Assets. 5. The auditors may be consulted occasionally throughout the year as an information source. The Town will receive all proposals acceptable to it, and will select one or more Proponents with whom the Town, in its sole and unfettered discretion, will negotiate regarding the terms of a contract to perform the Work for a 4-year term.
