    Description
Prepare detailed as-built drawings that incorporate the proposed design and specifications for new decks and balconies. Reconstruct the deck, including the substrate, covering it with Duradek or an equivalent material, posts, and joists. Use high-quality materials for the construction and ensure the substrate is well-prepared. Install the new Duradek covering, posts, and joists according to the specified design, ensuring the deck has a proper slope for water drainage and applying weatherproofing measures at all connection points to prevent water infiltration. Carefully remove and replace old flashing, integrating the new flashing seamlessly with the deck to protect against water ingress. Replace the existing fascia with new materials and install vented soffits for proper ventilation. Inspect all railings, replace any damaged sections, and securely reinstall them to meet safety standards. Replace 24 storm doors on the first and second levels, each with a protective canopy and appropriate weatherproofing. Install new posts for double support in downspout structures over walkways, adding a 15-inch sleeve of 4x4-inch, 14-gauge galvanized square tubing to the base of each post. Ensure these structures are squared to the buildings and aligned with the wall. Replace handrail sections between units with like-for-like materials, ensuring proper anchoring to the building structure and posts. Replace any damaged sections of eavestroughs, downspouts, elbows, end caps, hangers, and bands to match existing colours and functionality, adjusting the slope as necessary.
