Forestry and Parks - Request for Proposal - Engineering & Construction Administration Consultant Services - Dump Station Refurbishment, Saskatoon Island Provincial Park

Saskatoon Island Provincial Park (SIPP) is a large campground with over 100 campsites located approximately 25km west of Grande Prairie and experiences consistently high occupancy. The Park’s dump station was constructed in the 1980s and has not received any major capital investment since then. The existing dump station consists of two bays, each with two standpipes for washing and filling at each bay (four total). The wastewater is collected in a sewage holding tank to be pumped out and hauled off site for disposal. The configuration of the current dump station frequently creates traffic back ups into the main roadway causing congestion and potential safety concerns. The failing infrastructure has resulted in increased maintenance efforts and cannot meet the demands of increased visitation. Previous assessment and design work was completed by a Consultant in 2023 (Appendix 2) and the intention of this RFP is to build upon previously completed work. The CAD files from the Pre-Tender Review drawings will be provided to the successful Proponent. The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proposals from suitably qualified Proponents who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualification to provide detailed design, secure approvals, prepare tender documents and perform project management and construction monitoring services.
