    Description
A1. Project Information North Janet is located in eastern Rocky View County (RVC) within the bounds of Janet Area Structure Plan (ASP). The Study Area is north of the Western Headworks Canal, south of Township Road 240, east of 84th Street, and west of Range Road 285 as illustrated in Figure 1. The project includes an evaluation of stormwater quality and quantity generated by the Study Area to provide a recommended stormwater treatment solution that treats stormwater to meet criteria set by the Western Irrigation District (WID) for releases of treated stormwater into their Canal system. The portion of the Canal that is within the study area is referred to as the Western Headworks Canal (WH Canal). The WH Canal is owned by the Province of Alberta but utilized and operated by the WID. A2. Project Scope This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks submissions from qualified Proponents interested in undertaking the pivotal role of proposing a stormwater treatment system capable of treating the required quantity of water to the required quality standard. It is envisioned that the treatment system will be a mobile, trailer-mounted unit that could be moved to, and used in, other areas in the County. However, the project is also open to the concept of stationary treatment systems (including building-based mechanical treatment systems or vegetation and bio-filtration-based treatment systems). The scope of work is for the successful Proponent to prepare a Feasibility Review by evaluating system criteria and providing a preliminary design of the stormwater treatment system. As part of the next step of the project, the County will decide whether or not to proceed with the detailed design and construction of the proposed treatment system. Upon the conclusion of the RFP process, the County aims to establish a comprehensive contract with the selected Proponent to prepare the Feasibility Review
