The University of Alberta is inviting the submission of Proposals to supply a Robotic Device for Human Motor Control and Human-Robot Interaction Studies for the department of Mechanical Engineering to integrate with existing technologies in our labs (e.g., motion capture, electromyography/EMG, and galvanic skin response/GSR sensor) to acquire movement and physiological data. This will create a world-class multidisciplinary research facility, enabling a synergistic strategy to study human motor control and develop innovative robotic assessment and therapeutic paradigms.
This purchase is being partially funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation and the purpose of this RFP is to finalize this grant process and acquire the specified equipment.
