City of Calgary - Request for Proposal - 24-1683 Dump Truck with Operator Services

1. This RFP is open to all interested suppliers. 2. The City of Calgary requires a Supplier capable of providing and managing an on-call fleet of up to one hundred and ten (110) tandem dump trucks with operator(s) (“Units”), including administrative and dispatch support. The Supplier will work alongside The City to coordinate the hauling of construction materials, asphalt, snow, and miscellaneous materials, on an as required basis. The City has an expected requirement of up to eighty (80) units, during the spring, summer and fall seasons, and up to one hundred and ten (110) unit during the winter season. All requirements are dependent on weather. Tandem axle dump truck services are the primary deliverable. However, this contract may also include other dumping unit configurations including but not limited to end dumps, side dumps, belly dumps, pups, quads, tridem trucks, etc. based on availability. 3. This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations. 4. The Agreement will be for an initial term of two (2) years. The Agreement may be renewed four (4) times for two (2) years each time, not to exceed ten (10) years in total.
