Town of Coaldale - Request for Expression of Interest - PHASE 2 CIVIC SQUARE COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY

The purpose of this Request for Expressions of Interest (“RFEOI”) opportunity is to assist the Town of Coaldale (the “Town” or “Coaldale”) in identifying qualified proponents who are interested in purchasing from the Town a 3500 square foot parcel of land situated along Coaldale’s Main Street for the purpose of constructing a commercial building that will tie in nicely with the surrounding landscape – a project hereinafter referred to as the “Phase 2 Civic Square Commercial Development Opportunity,” or more simply, the “Development Opportunity.” The Town is seeking non-binding expression of interest proposals based on this RFEOI from commercial developers who may wish to purchase this property from the Town (the “Land” or “Property” described more fully in Schedule “A”) and construct a commercial building pursuant to the objectives contained in this RFEIO and the goals identified in the Town’s Downtown Coaldale Area Redevelopment Plan (Bylaw 878-P-09-23), which is attached as Schedule “C.” The end goal of this Development Opportunity is that the aesthetic and operational end product of the building that is constructed by the Proponent will complement and enhance the significant investment the Town has made to the infrastructure and programmability of its downtown core in general and the public spaces that are adjacent to the Property in particular.
