Description
The Intersection of Highway 5 and Twp Rd 60, which is located NE of the Town of Magrath, has been approved by Alberta Transportation for a new intersection with turning lanes, as proposed in the approved Traffic Impact Assessment 2020 (see attached). The intersection upgrade will be designed, tendered, and supervised by the approved Engineering firm. The proposed gravel road from Twp Rd 60 to the existing Rge Rd 221 will be designed and construction layout by the approved Engineering firm, and the construction of this portion of the project will be completed by Cardston County. It is proposed that the project be tendered in late winter 2025 and that construction start in Spring 2025. Construction will be completed by the end of 2025. Scope • Design, Tender, and Construction supervision for the HWY 5 / Twp Rd 60 Intersection upgrade in Pavement. • Design and Construction Layout Twp Rd 60 / Rge Rd 221 gravel portion. • Preparation and Execution of Landowner agreements, Road Expropriation documents, Legal Survey requirements for the road allowances, etc. (If Necessary) • Preparation of crossing plans for all utility crossings and obtaining necessary approvals. • Environmental Approvals. • Alberta Transportation Approvals. Schedule Pre-Bid Meeting: September 11, 2024 @2:00pm RFP Closing Date: September 18, 2024 @ 2:00 pm Anticipated Award Date: September 23, 2024 Construction Tender Documents Ready: January 2025.
