Description
Mountain View County on behalf of the Mountain View Regional Emergency Management (MVREMA) is seeking proposals for a qualified firm experienced in emergency response planning for the purpose of drafting the MVREMA Emergency Social Services (ESS) Response Plan. MVREMA is composed of the Town’s of Olds, Didsbury, Carstairs, Sundre, the Village of Cremona, and Mountain View County. The successful proponent will review and aid in the development of the ESS Response Plan and facilitate a regional functional exercise to test the ESS Response Plan. The intent of this RFP is to obtain responses from qualified consultants to assist in the development of a direct and comprehensive ESS Response plan that will provide explicit and effective directives and guidelines for MVREMA operations during times of an emergency. This plan will allow for Mountain View County and its partners in the MVREMA to fulfill their legislative regulatory requirements for a functional regional exercise under the Local Authority Emergency Management Regulation (LAEMR). This plan must include, but is not limited to; communications, public alerts, notifications during exercises, emergencies, and disasters, and the planning and provisions for emergency social services during an emergency or disaster. Contained in this RFP is an ESS plan outline and the supporting annexes provided by the Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) that can be used as templates for the preparation of the proposed ESS plan.
