Description
The overall objective of the project is to enhance the South Saskatchewan River Basin drought forecast system. The specific objectives of the project are to: improve streamflow forecast accuracy, enhance the production of hydrologic forecasts, improve weather forecast accuracy, continuously operate the developed forecasting system to provide daily to bi-weekly updated hydrologic forecast to support WSA, integrate the hydrological model (i.e., forecasted flows) with the WRMM (Water Resource Management Model) and IDM (Irrigation Demand Model) models to operationalize a real time water allocation optimization model, drought-centric data delivery and characterization of forecast skill.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 5 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/10/15.
