Lac La Biche County - Request for Proposal - 2024/2025 ROW Brushing Management

It is the Lac La Biche County’s objective to enter an Agreement with a Contractor for the provision of services for 2024/2025 ROW Brushing Management. The successful proponent(s) shall become familiar with the Lac La Biche County’s policies, procedures, and organizational structure. The County completed an evaluation on 2372 ditch km’s. The evaluation found that there was approximately 831 km of ditch that required brushing. However, this evaluation does not include specific locations (GPS coordinates) to be brushed, quantities, nor does it include property line surveys. The evaluation does include prioritization of the roads which require brushing. The prioritization is based on whether the road was on a bus route, the adjacent access (field, rural, industrial, etc.), road designation, issue (sight line, encroachment on road, etc.), and equipment required (in-house, contracted). Based on this prioritization there is 41 km of priority 1, 766 km of priority 2, and 24 km of priority 3 brushing. Based on the available budget for the 2024/2025 season, the goal is to complete approximately 41 km of brushing in priority 1 and 42 km of brushing in priority 2.
