City of Lethbridge - Negotiated Request for Proposal - Fairmont Lake Park Erosion Mitigation

Elements of this project will include adding clay and topsoil fill to replace eroded areas, riprap around storm inlets and the boat launch, rebuilding the boat launch to meet City of Lethbridge construction standards, replacing standard turf with dryland meadow mix and native flowers in a no-mow zone and planting native wetland vegetation at the edge and in the shallow edge of the pond to improve future bank stability of the pond. Utilizing native plant material in this project will provide the additional benefit of improving biodiversity in the park and contribute to ecosystem function. This project will reconstruct nearly the entire pond edge on the east portion of the park to improve the function of the pond and park as per the design created in 2024.
