    Description
    The Town of Whitecourt invites Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified consultants to provide contract services to support the project management of the Whitecourt East Community Fireguard Program. Utilizing the completed Community Fireguard Construction Plan that was completed during Phase 1 of the project, the consultant shall complete Phase 2. During Phase 2 of the project, The Town of Whitecourt is looking to construct the planned 100-metre –wide fireguard with access routes. This work will include vegetation clearing, mulching, stumping, grading (including erosion control), and FireSmart approved seeding. Vegetation removal and disposal will occur between December 2024 and February 2025. The construction work will be tendered at a later date for a separate RFP. A project manager is being sought to work with the Town to oversee the construction of the Fireguard project, which is expected to be completed September 2025. The project manager shall also be familiar with FireSmart principles.

    The estimated contract period will be 10 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/12/02.
