    Description
    The Municipal District of Lesser Slave River is accepting submissions from Consulting1 Engineering Services firms who are interested in prequalifying for the provision of paving design, tender, project management, contract administration, and construction management services as a “Prime Consultant” on: Mitsue Road Paving Project The West Mitsue Industrial Road and East Mitsue road paving project is located approximately six kilometres east of the Town of Slave Lake, off the north side of Highway 2. West Mitsue Industrial Road is approximately nine kilometres in length joining Highway 2 with the Mitsue Industrial Park. An additional 600 metres will be rehabilitated where the East Mitsue Road (Range Road 45) links to Highway 2 approximately eighteen kilometres East of Slave Lake. The road structure is a 9-metre-wide asphalt paved surface. The majority of West Mitsue Road was overlaid in 1999 and a micro-surfacing layer was done in 2017. A majority of East Mitsue Road was overlaid in 2005 and a chip sealing layer was done in 2014. Both roads have also had minor repairs and short extensions paved over the past number of years. The West Mitsue Road is showing signs of significant wear, as is the section of East Mitsue Road that lies between Highway 2 and the Millar Western Access Road. Scope of Work: Geotechnical Investigation, Engineering Design, Tender Preparation, Construction Supervision, Contract Administration, Post Construction and Warranty Inspection Services for approximately nine kilometres of this industrial road paving project. Construction is anticipated to start summer of 2026. The Municipal District will entertain proposals that include innovative strategies and materials such as design build, geo-grid, soil cement and/or other possibilities.

    The estimated contract period will be 20 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/05/01.
