Description
The scope of the construction contractor co-design segment of the project is to collaborate, advise, and assist with a systematic core infrastructure renewal process. The construction contractor will provide equipment, materials, and labour for the project. The role will include infrastructure planning/prioritization, technical support, modern design practices, construction services, and attendance at some public information sessions. The role may include coordination of experts relative to geotechnical supports or similar. Upon a final selection of project partners, the scope will be refined once everyone’s strengths are identified. Refinement will be reached during the co-design pre-planning phase. The co-design methodology is front loaded and requires teamwork, collaboration, and engagement beginning no later than January 14, 2026 to ensure construction kicks off by Q2 2026, and continuing for the duration of the infrastructure renewal project work to be completed by the construction contractor that could potentially extend as far as 2034.
