    Description
    Work of this Contract includes the earthworks construction of the Compost Pad Expansion including roads, approaches, drainage ditching, berms, compost pad subgrade, geotextile, recycled concrete aggregate road surfacing, and a HDPE geomembrane lined Process Water Pond. This section is not prescriptive, and the Contractor shall still be governed by the work described in the various Contract Documents, Specifications and the Drawings. The scope of work for the Compost Pad Expansion includes the following: .1 Topsoil stripping in the compost pad area to the full depth as specified in the drawings and separate stockpiling of topsoil and subsoil material in on-site stockpile locations approved by the Owner. .2 Topsoil stockpile removal within footprint of construction area and relocation to the stockpiles outlined in the Drawings. .3 Run-off water management ditches development. .4 Rough grading of the Compost Pad, access roads, and Process Water Pond. Source separate and stockpile materials as described in Bid Documents and as directed by the Consultant. .5 Construction of access road subgrades and perimeter berms. .6 Subgrade preparation, including smooth drumming of the Compost Pad and Process Water Pond. .7 Supply and installation of geotextile on heavy traffic and light traffic areas on the Compost Pad and access roads. .8 Supply and installation of the surfacing aggregate over the Compost Pad and site access roads. .9 Supply and installation of non-woven geotextile. .10 Supply and installation of the High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane liner in the Process Water Pond. .11 Spark test Leak testing of the HDPE geomembrane liner by a qualified third party. .12 All associated works to meet the design intent of the Compost Pad Expansion construction. .4 Optional scope of work for the Compost Pad Expansion includes the following: .1 Placement of Owner supplied Recycle Concrete Aggregate material over the compost pad and site access roads.

    The estimated contract period will be 1 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/10/01.
