Description
Lac La Biche County invites proposals for the design, supply, and installation of playground features for the Deer Ridge Playground located within the Deer Ridge community in Lac La Biche County, Alberta. The project involves developing play features within a municipal reserve area to serve children ages 5–12. The County is seeking a contractor to provide a complete solution including design, equipment supply, site preparation, installation, and restoration of disturbed areas. The playground concept should emphasize natural play elements and a forest-inspired theme, incorporating non-conventional play features that encourage physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. The successful proponent will be responsible for construction activities including site preparation, installation of equipment, engineered wood fibre fall protection where required, safety fencing during construction, final site cleanup, and third-party playground inspection prior to opening. The maximum project budget is $110,000 (excluding GST) and the work must be completed by October 15, 2026. Proposals will be evaluated based on design quality, play value for ages 5–12, project timeline, and pricing within the stated budget.
