    Description
The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to award a service contract to Quintessential Computing Services (QCSI) for computing services assisting Alberta Government/Health (AG) and the Alberta Centre for Toxicology (ACFT). QCSI has been collaborating and providing services for ACFT and is funded by AG under an agreement between UCalgary and AG for over 10 years, they are an integral part of the success of the research in the field of Toxicology. QCSI developed a software program in 2015 to manage ACFT’s water testing (Water Lab Information System, WLIMS). The system was tailored to meet specific government-funded public health testing requirements, not an off-the-shelf solution. QCSI will continue to provide consistent and compatible computing results, maintenance and expertise for ACFT. QCSI is well versed in AG’s requirements relative to the services provided to ACFT. WLIMS is jointly owned by QCSI and ACFT, with QCSI serving as the sole vendor authorized to provide maintenance services. It is UCalgary’s intention to establish a three-year agreement, with two one-year renewal options, with Quintessential Computing Services Inc.
