Description
infrastructure locations by undertaking a targeted subsurface utility investigation project. This work is intended to establish a higher-confidence understanding of the location and characteristics of existing water distribution infrastructure through non-destructive methods and controlled verification techniques.
The primary objective of this project is to obtain accurate, geospatially reliable data on the horizontal and vertical positions, material composition, and general configuration of underground water infrastructure within the hospital grounds at 5430 47 Ave, Lacombe, AB.
The Successful Proponent will be responsible for designing and executing an appropriate methodology that achieves the project objective using non-destructive locating technologies and verification techniques to achieve a high level of confidence in the resulting horizontal alignment and depth data.
Key objectives of this project include:
- Improve the spatial accuracy of existing water main and service records (proponent to indicate
the level of accuracy in their proposal)
- Quantify and reduce uncertainty in underground infrastructure location and depth
- Validate or correct existing GIS and record drawing data
- Discover repeatable and defensible methodologies for subsurface utility investigations
