    Description
The intent of this Request for Qualification (“RFQ”) is to solicit Submissions, in accordance with the requirements described in this document, from Respondents interested in providing Design-Build Services for the Project herein described. As part of the 2025 School Capital Announcement, the Province is undertaking the procurement of Design-Build services for select schools. This Request for Qualification (“RFQ”) relates to the delivery of the New 6-9 School in Sage Hill, NW Calgary. The New 6-9 school will have a total opening and build-out capacity of 1035 students and an area of 9,192 m2 of permanent construction. The province has retained a Bridging Consultant to prepare the Bridging Documents, including the Minimum Material Requirements and Additional Performance Requirements, which will define the technical, functional, and performance criteria for the Project. These Bridging Documents will be provided to shortlisted Proponents during the Request for Proposals (RFP) stage of the procurement process to guide the development of Design-Build submissions. At the time of issuance of this RFQ, the Project has progressed to the 30% Design Development stage through the bridging process. The Bridging Documents are intended to establish the minimum design and performance standards required by the Province, while allowing Proponents the flexibility to propose innovative and cost-effective solutions that meet or exceed those standards. The Province anticipates that the New 6-9 Sage Hill School would be delivered within 36 months after RFP contract award, which includes the one-year warranty period.

    Contract duration

The estimated contract period will be 24 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2026/11/02.
