Forestry and Parks - Request for Proposal - 8-12" High Volume Sprinkler Service

    Description
    To ensure the Province is in a constant state of preparedness regarding wildfire pre-suppression and suppression activities, the services of 8-12” High Volume Sprinkler Systems may be required on an “as-needed” basis with no guarantees of work. The highest evaluated vendor based on the two hose class size submissions will be eligible for $3,000,000 in operational guaranteed money per year for 2026 and 2027. In the event that the $3,000,000 is not spent in 2026 the remainder will roll over into 2027 increasing the 2027 guaranteed value to no more than $6,000,000 Million cumulative over 2 years of the Contract. The second, third and so on vendors will be placed on the call down list and be utilized if the vendor above is unable to fill the request for deployment and will not have any operational guarantee. To be eligible for the operational guarantee the vendor must submit a bid for both hose class sizes. Only the successful, first call vendor, will receive the operational guarantee. Please refer to Schedule B of the two (2) separate Appendix A documents for payment information. Services may be required in any of the following Forest Areas, but not limited to: Calgary, Rocky Mountain House, Fort McMurray, Lac La Biche, Edson, Whitecourt, Peace River, Grande Prairie, Slave Lake and High Level. Services may be provided for an undetermined length of time. The expectation is for these services is to be prepared for 24 hour operations however, the daily operational period may be less as dictated by the fire environment and incident management. Up to 10 Contracts may be awarded with Services being requested using a call down list in accordance with the RFP evaluation.

    The estimated contract period will be 19 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2026/07/28.
