    Description
    1. This Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) is OPEN TO ALL interested contractors. 2. Description: The City of Calgary (“The City”) is qualifying microtunneling respondents for the installation of large diameter sewers by trenchless and open trench methods. Approved trenchless installation methods will be limited to use of Micro Tunnel Boring Machines with pipe jacking as further defined herein. Microtunneling Contractor for the Inglewood Sanitary Trunk is an open call for responses from parties to act as a subcontractor in execution of trenchless construction work who meet the technical requirements outlined in this RFPQ. Prequalified general contractors under RFPQ 22-037 for the project will be provided the list of microtunneling subcontractors resulting from this RFPQ 22-045 to be considered as a subcontractor when bidding on a future procurement (RFQ 22-1054). 3.This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations. 4. Agreement Term: N/A - Prequalifying contractors to be eligible to provide quote to general contractors prequalified under RFPQ # 22-037 who may bid on future second-stage competition through a Request for Quotes (RFQ) procurement process. Anticipated RFQ to be awarded in Q1 2023 with project completion by Q1 2024.
