14 Ave NW over 14 St Bridge Rehabilitation

1. This RFP is open to pre-qualified firms only. Proponents are invited who have been prequalified based on specific information previously submitted through The City’s Prequalification for Engineering and Architectural Consultants RFPQ 06-006. Proposals will only be considered from proponents that have achieved a pre-qualified status in the following discipline(s): Bridges and Other Transportation Structures – Maintenance and Rehabilitation. 2. The City of Calgary is seeking to engage one (1) pre-qualified engineering firm to provide preliminary engineering, detailed design, construction contract administration, and project close out services for the rehabilitation of the bridge on 14 Avenue NW over 14 Street. The City of Calgary completed its OSIM (Ontario Structure Inspection Manual) bridge inspection on the bridge and several deficiencies were identified that need to be addressed. As a result, the bridge was confirmed to be a priority for rehabilitation. Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement Letter, the award under this RFP will be for all Phases of the Requirements, subject to approval by The City after each Phase. 3. Anticipated Project completion is November 2025 4. This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
