    REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF SMOKY RIVER 2024 and 2026 Approach Culverts, Centerline Culvert and Miscellaneous Ditching Work RE: 2 Year Quotation (Hourly) for Culvert and Miscellaneous Ditching Work The MD of Smoky River is seeking quotations to carry out ongoing work to replace or install new approach and centerline culverts throughout the municipality. Additionally, some miscellaneous roadside ditching is to be carried out under this quotation as well, either in conjunction with the culvert installations, or as small stand-alone projects. The projects are to be an hourly quotation as noted on the attached forms. Locations are throughout the municipality. The MD will be responsible for supplying all culverts to the job sites, providing the majority of fill material, supplying rip rap, and applying/supplying seed, if required. Quotation pricing will include all aspects of the work including, but not limited to mobilization, culvert placement and installation, topsoil removal, stripping spreading, miscellaneous debris disposal, equipment and operator expenses, applicable insurance and WCB costs, and all other related expenses. GPS units will be provided on equipment for the duration of the season and will be installed by the municipality. Quotations will be accepted at the MD office in Falher until 3:30 pm local time, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in a sealed envelope labeled “Culvert Installations and Miscellaneous Ditching for 2024 and 2025- MD of Smoky River”. Opening will be at 3:31 pm in the MD administration building. Any bids received beyond the time specified, or that are deemed to be incomplete will not be accepted. The quotation is to include a signed and completed Pricing Form Schedule “A”, as well as proof of WCB and Insurance. A COR is not mandatory but if available, please provide this. Performance and Bid Bonds are not required for this work. The municipality will arrange Alberta One-Call for jobs requiring utility locates coordinated by the contractor. The MD of Smoky River reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotations and to waive irregularities and informalities at its discretion. The MD of Smoky River reserves the right to accept a quotation other than the lowest quotation without stating reasons. By the act of submitting a bid, the bidder waives any right to contest in any legal proceedings or action, the right of the MD of Smoky River to award work to whomsoever it chooses, in its sole and unfettered discretion, and for whatever reasons the MD of Smoky River deems appropriate.
