    Description
Civida is seeking qualified suppliers for preventative and on-demand sewer services for Civida-managed properties within the City of Edmonton and area. Civida has 146 properties with approximately 17,000 sanitary and drainage sewer lines that collect and remove sanitary sewage into City of Edmonton drainage systems. These sewer lines are connected to kitchens, bathrooms, basements, larger building sewer lines, and property owned manholes for storm water run off. The property map under the following link identifies all sites that may require work within the Edmonton area: (Google Map of Sites). There is necessity to introduce a Sewer Services Maintenance program to decrease the number of reactive sewer line back ups for Civida-managed properties. This preventative maintenance program will allow Civida to identify and address sewer lines that have known reoccurring issues and opt to perform maintenance or rehabilitation on an on-going basis. On-demand emergency services will also be necessary during regular and after-hours. The objectives of this maintenance program are to be proactive in preventative sewage maintenance using (1) scheduled auguring or steam cleaning methods on problematic lines, (2) utilizing CCTV methods to understand scope and pipe condition, (3) inspection and sanitary cleaning of property-owned manholes, (4) rehabilitating lines using CIPP (cured-in-place-pipe) techniques, and (5) prevent other maintenance concerns. It is Civida’s intent to start this maintenance program in early fall 2023. The program will require successful suppliers to provide reports of CCTV of the inspected lines and manholes: diameter, overall condition, approximate length to develop an inventory of the sewer systems for Civida’s property portfolio. Proponents are to refer to Appendix E for detailed scopes of work and Appendix F for information documents. The term of the agreement is to be for a period of two (2) years, with an option in favour of Civida to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for two (2) additional one (1) year terms.

    Contract duration

The estimated contract period will be 24 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/10/01.
