Description
RDP centre for Innovation in Manufacturing-Technology Access Centre plans to procure a specialty 3D printer. The Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) hereby provides notice of its intention to enter into a direct award agreement with Javelin Technologies Inc., a Stratasys authorized partner, to procure a J850™ Digital Anatomy™ 3D printer. The 3D printer is required to be purchased and delivered to the RDP Campus on or before March 31, 2023. 3D printer requirements and capabilities: 1. New equipment via authorized resellers only, no used or refurbished equipment 2. Build envelope: 490 x 390 x 200 mm 3. System footprint: 1400 x 1260 x 1100 mm 4. ISO 9001:2015 Certified and ISO 13485 Certified 5. CSA certification or equivalent 6. Support structures are made from a soluble material 7. Multi-colour in one print capability 8. Multi-stiffness and transparency in one print capability 9. Smooth surface print capability 10. Capability to print small complex vascular structures and easily remove internal support material. 11. Material configurations allow for models that feel and behave like native organ tissue when force is applied. 12. Material depositing patterns mimic porous bone structures, fibrotic tissues and ligaments. 13. Material creates medical models that exhibit realistic features under X-Ray and CT 14. Capability to print low run injection molds for a variety of applications.. RDP proposes to direct award procurement to Javelin for the above stated reasons. All questions related to this notice must be addressed to the RDP Contact before the Question Deadline. Vendors who wish to object to this decision should submit their objections via email to purchasing@rdpolytech.ca on or before the Submission Deadline. Objection letters must present specific reasons for their objection and clearly outline the vendor’s ability to offer the same or exceed the specifications outlined above. RDP does not guarantee that any solicitation will occur for this procurement but reserves the right to solicit proposals.
