Description
Prospective Proponents are invited to submit proposals for provision of air ambulance landing site analysis on Alberta rural airports and heliports. The analysis will focus on performance; cost-benefit analysis for future upgrading, value for money, sustainability, operational policy and protocols for airplane and helicopter landing sites and provide clear guidance for municipalities responsible for maintaining the sites. The analysis will support ongoing provision of the AHS Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Air Ambulance Program and Government of Alberta Ministries such as Health, Municipal Affairs, and Infrastructure to develop policy in support of rural municipality access to Air Ambulance services. This project endeavours to solicit recommendations from an aviation consultant based on an inventory of current rural air ambulance landing sites, and capability to inform both capital and process improvements and prioritization of those improvements.
