Description
The City of Calgary (“The City”) requires the supply and delivery of infrared asphalt heaters and related equipment. The initial requirement is for a trailer-mounted unit which includes a trailer chassis, an infrared asphalt heater, an asphalt hotbox, a plate tamper, and a crane, ramp, or other device for loading the infrared heater and tamper, as required. The infrared heaters (Units) will be used primarily by The City’s Mobility business unit for road maintenance. Units must be capable of operation during Calgary’s extreme weather and temperatures. Subsequent heater requirements during the contract duration may vary and may be mounted on other vehicles and equipment and may be customized to incorporate a variety of accessories and attachments. Additional items related to the RFP will be quoted at the time of need. The City intends to enter into one (1) Agreement for the provision of the Deliverables. The Agreement will be for a term of two (2) years. The Agreements may be renewed for two (2) additional two (2) year terms, not to exceed a maximum of six (6) years. The Agreement will not include a PoC.

The estimated contract period will be 72 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/09/01.
