    Description
As part of the Town of Drumheller Flood Mitigation program, tree removal has been completed prior to construction of the flood berms. Trees that were removed in 2020 and 2021 has resulted in tree inventory of approximately 1450m3 of trees were hauled to and piled at the Eladesor site. In 2022 the Town initiated a Community Chainsaw carving event to repurpose the trees. The Town of Drumheller (the Town) invites tenders for the Eladesor Tree Site Cleanup. The intention of this Request for Tender (RFT) is for the Town to engage a contactor to sort, stack, and mulch, per the project scope identified in Section 2.1 Scope of Work. The Town will have a representative from the tree carving organizing committee available to sort and salvage material that will be used for future events. Please note that there will be a mandatory site visit at the Eladesor storage site to review the Scope of Work at the date and time specified in the project schedule table under Section 1.3 below. During this onsite meeting, questions pertaining to this RFT will be answered. As part of the Town’s Resiliency and Flood Mitigation program, trees were removed from the footprint of the new berm locations. These removed trees were temporarily stored at one of the Town's storage yards, located in Eladesor (11 km east of downtown Drumheller). A May 2023 survey and pictures of the pile is provided in Appendix B.
