Managed Services for Regression Testing and Test Automation

Business Technology (“BT”) Quality Assurance (“QA”) would like to introduce the practice of having all changes regression tested in a pre-prod environment before certifying it to be ready to be deployed into Production. This regression testing would be conducted by a dedicated team of QA’s. This regression testing team would also help with expanding the scope of test automation by creating new test automation scripts and updating the existing ones on as need basis. The QA team is building additional regression suites to expand coverage and is working to identify which existing regression test cases are candidates for automation. Test cases that are candidates for automation will be assigned to the Managed Services team to automate. The current tools that we are using to automate include: SOATest, CATT, Python and PowerShell. AIMCo is currently exploring procurement of a GUI automation tool that will be introduced into the regression cycle. BT is continuously looking into areas of automation and has already started building an automation framework around TIBCO adaptors and the Calypso application but would like to continue working on automation of other areas.
