Supply and Delivery of Tires and Tires Related Services and Maintenance

1 - This RFP is open to all interested suppliers. 2 - The City of Calgary has issued this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) with the intent of obtaining proposals from qualified proponents to supply tires for The City fleet of over 4,500 vehicles and pieces of equipment, and to perform tire repair services. Tire repair services include but are not limited to: flat repairs, tire/wheel balancing, re-treading of city owned casings, wheel torques, mobile repairs and yard checks. Makes and models of The City’s fleet vary from vans, pickups, heavy trucks, trailers, sweepers, graders, snow and ice equipment, Fire apparatus, vac trucks, mowing equipment, and ice resurfacing equipment. 3 - This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations. 4 - The Agreement will be for a initial term of one (1) year. The Agreement may be renewed, four (4) times for one (1) year each time, no more than five (5) years in total.
