    Description
    The County hereby retains the Contractor and the Contractor hereby accepts such retainer to provide “the Work”, which generally includes the mowing of previously agreed upon county roadways, but is not limited to the following, namely: Roadside mowing on a total of 2210.52 kilometers of municipal roadside (both sides of road), to be completed between July 15 – September 15, 2023. 1.1.1. One pass shoulder cut to be completed on approximately 1559.88 kilometers of municipal roadside as indicated in both green and pink on the attached map. This pass shall commence in Division 1 and move in general numerical order through divisions to Division 6. One pass shoulder cut must be completed between July 15 and August 31, 2023. 1.1.2. An additional pass with two pass shoulder cuts to be completed on approximately 650.64 kilometers of municipal roadside as indicated in pink on the attached map bi-annually. This pass shall commence in Division 1 and move in general numerical order through divisions to Division 6. Two pass shoulder cuts must be completed between August 1st and September 15, 2023. 1.2. Shoulder mowing cuts will include a 15-foot cut on all roads immediately adjacent to the driving surface on both sides of the roadway with a minimum of 8 feet in those areas that do not allow a full cut. 1.3. Quality Control Targets — All vegetation including trees up to 1” in diameter must be uniformly mowed to an approximate height of 4-6 inches. 1.4. Additional roads, outside of the above scope, may be required to be cut on an individual request basis. Contractor to provide cost per additional kilometer.

    The estimated contract period will be 2 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/07/15.
