    Description
The City is seeking Proposals from experienced Proponents to supply a LoRaWAN Network Server (LNS) that can utilize existing gateway infrastructure and support by The City described in this RFP. The LNS shall be able to operate in several support models as PaaS or SaaS on the internet and the LNS shall be refactored as part of a private cloud deployment in Azure or Amazon, if required in the future. The City’s preference is a Cloud solution. The Successful Proponent shall also provide the ability to procure, provision, test, and install gateways with a subcontractor in the Calgary area. The purpose of the Cloud service is to expand the coverage model to build and support multiple City use cases over a single utility network that includes, but not limited to: 1. Providing data monitoring to sensors or devices that fit the use of LoRaWAN technology that will help operating groups gain efficiencies through use of resources, assets, servicing, or loss prevention; 2. Providing a single and unified LoRaWAN service that meets the operating and cybersecurity requirements for The City and ecosystem, reducing administrative duplication of effort; and 3. To support the ongoing growth of IoT and IIoT in The City’s ecosystem. The City intends to enter into an Agreement with ONE Proponent for the provision of all components as described above.
