Supplemental Trailer Rentals - Peace River Forest Area

Forestry Parks and Tourism is responsible for managing wildfires within the Forest Protection Area of Alberta. Within the Peace River Forest Area (PRFA), firebases are strategically located throughout the area. These firebases provide pre-suppression placement of resources (Helitack, Unit, and Firetack crews) in a readiness position to respond to initial wildfire starts. To supplement the Province’s facilities, additional trailers may be required on an “as-needed” basis with no guarantees of work. Trailer types potentially requested are as follows: wet sleeping trailers, dry sleeping trailers, wash trailers, conference/rec room trailers. Additionally, generators may also be required depending on the location of need. Upon request by the Province, trailers must be on site, and fully operational within 48 hours of said request. Trailers must be compliant with all applicable legislation including the Public Health Act. They must also meet provincial standards for manpower resources on pre-suppression and suppression duties.
