*ACAN is also posted on MERX.com reference # 0000253994* The university intends to purchase Illumina Canada’s NextSeq 2000 sequencing system, trading in an existing Illumina NextSeq 500 system. The research lab currently has 3 clinical tests (COVID sequencing for variant, TST 170, and TSO500 for solid tumour sequencing) validated on the NextSeq 550 NGS system additionally are in the process of validating more tests such as clinical exome sequencing. It is critical that the sequencing platform be compatible with the existing assays routinely run in the lab. Additional details are included in the ACAN document.
