    Update 01_CPE23-039 Web auditing and reporting service_ Feb 21, 2023 Update 02_CPE23-039 Web auditing and reporting service_ Feb 22, 2023 2.1 PROJECT OVERVIEW The public can access information about the programs and services that are offered by the Government of Alberta on Alberta.ca and related sites. Alberta.ca includes over 6,000 webpages, 50,000 links and 15,000 documents, among thousands of other digital assets, and is supported by a core web team in Communications and Public Engagement (CPE). Many ministry websites have been updated and consolidated within Alberta.ca website. Further evaluation, monitoring and reporting for ongoing maintenance will be required to ensure minimal disruption to users. Additionally, other websites related to Alberta.ca are also under the purview of the CPE web support team and will continue to be maintained with some migrating to Alberta.ca. Services to ensure ongoing quality assurance, site monitoring and tracking of user behaviour to inform design decisions going forward is required. a) Project Background - The Province has centralized and standardized most of its public web content on Alberta.ca. b) Project Objectives - The Province continues to centralize and standardize all public web content on Alberta.ca. This is a large-scale ongoing project, which will migrate hundreds of pages of web content, as well as many interactive applications from across the Provinces web systems onto a single platform. This includes ongoing technical and content maintenance to ensure accessibility standards and user needs are met. c) Project Needs - The team responsible for maintaining the quality of content and technology on Alberta.ca, and other related Government of Alberta sites requires the following Services: a. Accessibility: the province seeks to maintain a web content standard which falls in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 with A and AA accessibility rating b. Inventory: creating a record of all assets and pages hosted on Alberta.ca and the related URLs (projected need for: 12,000 HTML pages, 18,000 documents) c. Quality Assurance: testing to identify issues with content on the Alberta.ca website (e.g., broken links, spelling) d. Responsiveness: testing Alberta.ca and its related services and websites for the speed which they are returning results after a query e. Readability: testing the reading level, and spelling of the content f. Analytics for determining pageviews, visitor details, visitor locations, devices, sources, search terms, social media, etc (projected: 125 million average annual pageviews) g. User Behaviour – behaviour tracking, event tracking, heat maps, campaigns, etc (projected need for 400 heat map pages) h. Self-service Reporting – the ability to create PDF and Excel reports, dashboards, etc i. User Accounts – the ability to create user accounts with various access levels j. Audit Reporting – ability to create custom audit reports of content, html, documents, etc k. Search Engine Optimization – evaluation and reporting

    Contract duration

    The estimated contract period will be 36 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/04/01.
