    Description
    Insurance Broker & Claims Services. The Alberta Colleges, Universities and Technical Institutes Insurance Consortium (“Consortium”) is an initiative directed through the organization’s Senior Business Officers (SBOs), to which the various participating post-secondary institutes are pooling their requirements in order to obtain advantageous services and pricing. The Colleges, Technical Institutes and Universities’ Insurance Consortium Subcommittee (“Subcommittee”) is the insurance oversight body of the SBOs and is authorized and responsible to oversee the Consortium’s insurance program, recommend the selection of the Consortium’s insurance broker, provide program direction and recommend insurance changes to the SBOs. Athough individual agreements will be in place with each Consortium member, the Subcommittee oversees the relationship with the selected insurance broker and various insurers and reports directly to the SBO Committee. The Consortium is seeking proposal submissions from qualified and experienced proponents to provide a full range of insurance broker and claims services including: Consulting, recommending, designing, brokering and placement of insurance coverage, including administrative insurance tasks such as: • claims advice and advocacy • insurance policy interpretation and recommendations • Advice on new policies as per operations of the institute • issuing certificates of insurance • issuing pink cards • providing occasional contract reviews and wording advice Provision of service options and recommendations to Consortium members pertaining to: • Formal loss control inspections and recommendations • Formal property valuation reviews and appraisals • Loss control and loss prevention advice

    Contract duration

    The estimated contract period will be 36 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/04/01.
